I always forget how unbelievably big the Sahara desert is. It’s really super big.

On a flight from Amsterdam to Nairobi and finally getting the battery life Dell promised for my XPS M1210… which is both nice and a bit annoying as it means that maybe I didn’t need to carry three heavy batteries with me. I’ll only be in Nairobi for three days, unfortunately, then back to Seattle for a couple of days before heading to New York next week.

In Nairobi, we’re holding the first ever Mifos workshop (w00t!), bringing together a group of technology companies who are interested in working with and supporting Mifos along with a bunch of MFIs who are interested in using it. We’ll talk to them all about what Mifos is (and isn’t), how to get involved, get their feedback, etc. This will be the largest combined group we’ve talked to in this detailed a way… it’ll be a good reality check (whether positive or negative feedback).
