Just got back from a short trip to Nairobi during which I:

  • landed at the airport
  • took a taxi to the Holiday Inn
  • stayed at the Holiday Inn for three days
  • attended a workshop at the Holiday Inn
  • took a taxi to the airport
  • flew home

Really? I don’t think that’s the best way to travel to Africa. The Mifos workshop was hugely successful, though, primarily to the rockstar team working on the project… so it was a worthwhile trip.

  2. I feel your pain. Currently in Lisboa for 72 hours and it’s much the same drill . . . I guess it’s all that time logged on planes and hotels that makes us “worldly” ;-)
