…but they do have the same “cheesy 80s soundtrack for the poolside bar” vibe going on. Total Eclipse of the Heart at the moment, and it’s only 1 PM. Also, it took far more flights and annoyance to get here than it does to get to Nairobi or Jo’burg… but I haven’t been to Bolivia before, so we’ll see how things go. If nothing else, 90 degrees and sunny beats the 41 degrees and crappy that I left behind in Seattle.
Nearing the end of the travel insanity… and just realized that I need to update my little nights & flights spreadsheet for the last 2 months. Here in Santa Cruz de la Sierra for the rest of the week, then back to Seattle, then Phoenix for a long weekend, then to Dublin for a few days, then Boston for Thanksgiving, and then with a bit o’ luck (trying to pick that up in Dublin), no more planes until 2008.
And… the work fog seems to be starting to lift as my team comes back up to full strength and with a bit more o’ that luck I can start doing my actual job again sometime in the relatively near future… and that should mean at least slightly more blogging activity.
and now to start scoping out Halloween activities in Bolivia (if they exist).
One Response to “Bolivia’s not Africa…”
